Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. She covers everything, from NASA, Space Force, Space Force and commercial space businesses to the rise of Space Tourism. Kristin is the daughter of NASA astronauts as well as a space enthusiast, grew up immersed in the industry. She spent five years as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. In that period, Kristin was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president, the 2020 Presidential campaign as well as efforts of two administrations to combat the Coronavirus pandemic. Additionally, she went on numerous journeys with the Vice President and President of the United States as well as a secret trip to Afghanistan with former President Donald Trump. Prior to becoming a part of the company in the year 2015, Kristin spent nearly a decade working her way up through local TV news markets which included Grand Junction, Colorado; Little Rock, Arkansas; and Washington, D.C. where she was awarded one Emmy Award as a one-man-band reporter for the Washington, D.C.'s CBS affiliate. Kristin utilized her knowledge behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The company was a specialist in documentary films, and became a preferred choice among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Boston University. Her current residence is Washington, D.C. with her husband and their three year old daughter.
